SHARE collecting basic items for families in need
Sharing has a radiant effect. That's the message of the SHARE project an organized effort asking community members to purchase items for families in need. Project organizers, with the support of the Heartland United Way, oversee the collection and distribution of specific items every month. The donations can be dropped off at any Five Points Bank Location. The collected items will be distributed through local organizations that work with area families. Collection items for the rest of 2013 are:
APRIL: Liquid cleaners, cloths, and brooms.
MAY: Trash bags, disinfectant spray, and Ziploc bags.
JUNE: Laundry soap, antibacterial hand soap, and sunscreen.
JULY: Toilet paper and paper towels.
AUGUST: Socks and underwear.
SEPTEMBER: Diapers and baby wipes.
OCTOBER: Feminine hygiene products.
NOVEMBER/DECEMBER: Children's books.
